Sergeant Corporal Injured in Attack in Diyarbakır Loses His Life

Gendarmerie Sergeant Corporal Bilal Dicle, who was assaulted with firearms in Turkey’s southeastern Yenişehir, Diyarbakır, lost his life in the hospital where he was under treatment yesterday (October 24).

Sergeant Major B.D. left his house to put some stuff in his vehicle’s baggage and was attacked at around 12:09 a.m. Hit in his back and head, Dicle was taken to Dicle Medical Faculty Hospital on ambulance.

Diyarbakır Governorship stated that Dicle lost his life in the hospital, and added that an operation has been launched in the area.

Gendarmerie Sergeant Major Mehmet Kızılca (21) was injured in an armed assault as he was getting on his car in Silvan, Diyarbakır on October 3, and he lost his life in Silvan Dr. Yusuf Azizoğlu Hospital where he was taken into for treatment. (AS/TK)
