Initially reduced to one day per week, Enver Aysever’s critical show "Aykırı Sorular" (Tough Questions) has been completely removed by CNN Türk.
“There is a recent update. My show has been completely removed,” Aysever wrote on twitter.
He also added that he would return back as a columnist to BirGün newspaper.
Previously, CNN Türk removed an episode of Enver Aysever’s show and announced that it would only be aired on Saturdays.
In an interview with Hürriyet columnist Ayşe Arman, Aysever said that CNN Türk reduced the program as he didn’t ask any “rehearsed” questions.
Who is Aysever?
Born in 1971 in İstanbul, Aysever studied sociology at Mimar Sinan University. He taught in Doğuş, Yeditepe and Arel universities.
Founder of Çisenti Theater Group, he worked for several years as writer, director and art director. He received Yunus Nadi Novel Price in 2006.
In 2007, he started the program “Tough Questions” in Skytürk Television. Later on, the show transferred to CNN Türk.
On 11 April 2011 Aysever resigned from CHP, reacting to the candidacy of right-wing figures like Mehmet Haberal and Sinan Aygün. (NV/BM)
