Sergeant Major Mehmet Kızıl has lost his life in the attack launched in Turkey’s southeastern Silvan district in Diyarbakır province.
Kızıl was attacked by unidentified armed people as he got out of the car.
Heavily wounded, Kızıl was taken to Dr. Yusuf Azizoğlu State Hospital by an ambulance. Kızıl was then transferred to Diyarbakır after having received first treatment.
Kızıl couldn’t be saved despite all efforts.
An operation has been launched in the area to capture the assailants. (EKN/TK)
