Curfews in Diyarbakır, Bingöl

Curfews have been declared in Turkey’s southeastern 16 villages in Diyarbakır, and 19 villages in Bingöl.

The curfews declared “due to the operations launched against the PKK” will continue until further notice, the Diyarbakır and Bingöl Governorships announced.

The villages in which the curfew was put into effect as of 5 a.m. are:

Villages of Abalı, Birlik, Şenlik, Erginköy, Tuzlaköy, Çeper, Ecemiş, Daralan and Duruköy in Lice district in Diyarbakır.

Villages of Serenköy, Uzunlar, Yukarıturalı, Kalaba, Topçular, Akçayurt and Kaledibi in Hani district in Diyarbakır.

According to Bingöl Governorship, the curfew will be in effect as of 12 p.m. in the following villages:

Villages of Karcı, Yelkaya, Üçgül, Döşekkaya, Direkli, Ericek, Servi, Harmancık, Çoban Çesmesi, Sarıbudak, Yaydere, Büyükçağ, Çevirme, Yayla, Şehitköy, Yeniyazı, Doğanca, Bulgurluk and Yolaçtı in Genç district.
