Police Barricade Pile in Gezi

 Police barricades have been piled up surrounding Gezi Park due to the press statement planned to be held on occasion of the third year of the Gezi Resistance.

In the morning hours today (May 31), there had been no barrier in the entrance and exit to the park. It has caught attention that despite there had been no uniformed police officers surrounding the park, hundreds of police barricades had been piled up surrounding the park.

Holding a meeting on last Friday (May 27) in the Chamber of Architects, Taksim Solidarity had announced that a press statement would be held on May 31 (today) in Gezi Park at 7 p.m on occasion of the third year of the Gezi Resistance.

Taksim Solidarity had also made a call for wearing the t-shirts developed specifically for the 3rd anniversary and can be obtained by Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and Chamber of Architects free of charge, on May 31 as of 5 p.m. in İstiklal street, Taksim square and Gezi Park. (EKN/DG)
