A health worker of Cizre State Hospital talking to bianet has explained that explosions had been heard continuously in the district yet that there was nothing in the hospital like represented in the media and it was not true that the doctors had been locked up in a room.
“Contact lost entirely”
Encü over our question regarding the ambulances sent to Cudi neighbourhood this morning, has noted that not ambulances but funeral vehicles of the municipality had been sent to the neighbourhood.
“The state first announced the number of the killed as 60, but then changed it to 10. We do not know the exact figure but it is certain that there are deaths.
“There were almost 90 people living in the area and around 50 injured. We can’t receive any news from any of them. For two days the contact has been lost completely. We don’t know about their situation. The neighbourhood is in an isolated state and we can’t get any precise information from the hospital either”.
Encü has noted that no explosions or shooting were being heard at the moment in Cizre.
“Yesterday (February 7) towards evening, we experienced an enormous explosion. We don’t have any precise information regarding what has happened afterwards.
“There is a quantitative uncertainty, we can not name any exact numbers but what has happened in Cizre has been performed blatantly in the eyes of the world public opinion”.
The Ministry of Health has made the statement today that “No call for help or warning regarding Cizre has been made to the Ministry’s 112 call center”. Encü has noted that the statement had been false and that it was written in police records that calls too had been made to the center related to the issue. (AS/DG)
