The opening was made by İstanbul Consul, Murielle Domenach who emphasized that considering history of struggle for women rights, it feels as infinite. Her highness also underlined the contribution of French Cultural Center Director Mathieu.
Fashion photographer
Kate Barry’s parents divorced as she was 1 year old.
When composer Jane Birkin was married to poet Serge Gainsbourg, Kate Barry grew up with Serge Gainsbourg.
Kate Barry having alcohol and drug problems at a tender age, opened a rehabilitation center near Paris. Barry died by falling out of the window of her house in Paris on December 11, 2013. Her grave is at Montparnasse Graveyard.
Barry got famous as a fashion photographer. Lastly, a grand exhibition was opened in Paris in September by Kate Barry who earned reputation with photos she took for magazines like Vogue, Elle Sunday, Times.
Pandora's box
The exhibition is predominantly black and white. Catherine Deneueve is lying on her arm by letting her hair free; her reflection in the mirror looks at her guest melancholically. Fur covered her body instead of dress.
In another pose, another celebrity opened her arms towards carpet, posing erotic look at the guest and lens to drape herself.
The photos have aestheticized infiniteness and liveliness of woman so greatly that guest asks “What kind of a Pandora box is woman?” “If we could open, what sort of demon would materialize?”.
It shouldn’t be difficult to find excuse to visit French Cultural Center to look at many others. The exhibition lasts till April 18. (NT/HK/TK)
