TRT’s Cairo correspondent Metin Turan has been freed by authorities after 115 days of captivation in Egypt.

Turkey’s Media Council (Basın Konseyi) sent a letter to Egypt’s Prime Minister, demanding the immediate release of Metin Turan, TRT’s Cairo correspondent who was arrested while reporting anti-military coup protests.

Reacting upon advocate Inançer’s remarks “Women shouldn’t wonder in streets while pregnant”, scores of women in Istanbul and Ankara are preparing to put pillows in their bellies and take the streets tonight.
