FM Davutoğlu Defends Prohibition of Entry into Syrian Rebel Camp
After security forces denied opposition deputies access into the Apaydın Camp that hosts fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the southern border province of Hatay, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu issued a statement defending the status of the camp as a forbidden zone.

With a number of international reporters still missing in Syria, Turkish journalists Bünyamin Aygün and Serkan Ocak have cautioned that taking to the Arab country still poses major lethal risks. Turkey Closed Damascus Embassy
The Turkish government closed down the Damascus Embassy and recalled the ambassador and other diplomats. The decision to shut the embassy down came right after a meeting of PM Erdoğan and President Obama. The consulate in Halep is still open.

Reporters Without Borders called on the Syrian authorities to release Turkish journalists Özköse and Çoşkun who went to Syria last week. Both journalists were abducted and reportedly handed over to Syrian authorities.
