The ruling AKP previously appealed to the Supreme Election Council, requesting that all votes cast in 31 districts in İstanbul be counted again and elections be cancelled in Büyükçekmece. The council has rejected the AKP's request regarding 31 districts.

HDP has announced that Supreme Election Council has rejected its request for recounting of votes in Muş, where there is a margin of 538 votes. Co-Mayor candidate Sakık said, "Council hastily rejected the request. This people will not forgive you.”

According to the latest data shared by Ekrem İmamoğlu, the candidate of the Nation Alliance for Metropolitan Mayorship of İstanbul, İmamoğlu is ahead of Binali Yıldırım, the candidate of People’s Alliance, with a margin of 18 thousand 742 votes.

İmamoğlu, the candidate of Nation Alliance for İstanbul Metropolitan Mayorship, has said, “The ones carrying off files from the municipality… We are receiving several reports. But, I will call them to account even for a single penny of İstanbulites.”

Making a statement about the local elections, Supreme Election Council (YSK) Chair Sadi Güven has stated that Ekrem İmamoğlu has been leading in İstanbul by a margin of 27 thousand 889 votes according to the data of the council.

Demirören News Agency, which previously announced that İmamoğlu, the candidate of Nation Alliance for the Metropolitan Mayorship of İstanbul, is leading according to data of Supreme Election Council, has removed the news from its website.
