The Trabzon Chief Prosecution revoked the decision of the Rize High Criminal Court to launch an investigation about Trabzon Chief of Police Reşat Altay initiated to determine who was actually responsible for the murder of Turkish-Armenian journalist Dink.

Journalist Yılmaz Attacked Twice in Three Months
Journalist Yılmaz was apparently attacked by bodyguards of the Mayor of Esenyurt (Istanbul). This is the second attack against Yılmaz in three months. At the same time, 80 attendants of an Alevi press release in Antalya are facing prosecution.

12 more Releases in Sledgehammer Investigation
The Istanbul court concerned with the "Sledgehammer" investigation into an alleged coup plan released 14 retired and active army officers on Friday and another 12 on Monday, among them a former member of the National Security Council. Three soldiers currently remain in detention.

Due to a decision taken by the Istanbul Governorship Administrative Board, a new investigation can be launched related to the murder case of Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink into five former officials of the Istanbul Police Directorate who were on duty at the time.

Another 20 Arrests in "Sledgehammer Coup Plan" Investigation
Police operations in the context of the "Sledgehammer coup plan" carried out in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir and Çanakkale on 5 April resulted in the arrest of 20 people. Senior Rear Admiral Tuncay Çakan from the Istanbul Gülhane Military Medical Academy was among the people arrested.

Four people were arrested related to the spending of secret funds at the command of Şener Eruygur, who apparently received TL 13,000,000 from the fund. Ergenekon defendant Ersöz stated that all referring documents were destroyed before Eruygur's retirement.
