Two specialist sergeants died and one soldier was injured after members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) detonated a roadside bomb in the southeastern province of Hakkari. Another troop and 15 PKK militants also lost their lives during a military operation in the area.

10 People Killed by Roadside Bomb in the South-East
10 minibus passengers died in an explosion in the south-eastern province of Hakkari, four people got wounded. The Kurdish KCK blamed the "counter guerrilla" for the attack. PM Erdoğan said the attack would "not remain unanswered".

11 Soldiers Died in PKK Attack
According to the General Staff, eleven soldiers and twelve members of the illegal Kurdistan Workers Party PKK were killed in armed conflicts in south-eastern Turkey over the weekend. Fırat News agency announced the death of three PKK members. The funeral services for the killed soldiers were attended by thousands of people.

Açıkalın from the Human Rights Association is on trial again because he condemned an action of a police officer in Hakkari. The police officer beat a 17-year-old child on the head with his rifle butt. Açıalın is charged with "demonstrating against the law". The court will start on 2 November.
