One Suspect Detained
One suspect has been detained related to the killing of Gezi Park protestor Ali Ismail Korkmaz in the central province of Eskişehir and expected to appear before a prosecutor in the afternoon, said advocates Önder Öztürk and Gürkan Korkmaz.

Suspect Flees Abroad As Judge Releases For “No Runaway Risk”
Sabri Çelebi, a man who attacked Gezi Park demonstrators with a machete, has been released by a court. “All newspaper covering the issue before final court decision are responsible for this,” advocate Hacer Yılmaz told bianet.

Ali Ismail Korkmaz, Gezi Resistance Protestor, Dies at 19
University student Ali Ismail Korkmaz (19), a Gezi Resistance protestor who was severely battened by a group of casually-dressed people on June 3, died in a hospital in the central province of Eskişehir. While attackers have yet to be identified, related surveillance camera recordings turned out to be “damaged”.

Court’s Final Rule: Helmet Can’t Be Arrest Evidence
A vacation high criminal court accepted the objection made by advocates of 7 Gezi Park protestors whom another court issued arrest orders for having construction helmets and plasters. Reminding the criteria on the prevention of limitless ruling right and arbitrary decisions, the vacation high criminal court removed arrest warrants.

A court ordered the arrest of 7 defendants who were detained and released during Gezi Park protests. Tourniquets and plasters were listed as “crime instruments” of a jailed protestor - who is a medical doctor. Other evidence included construction helmets.
