It has been 7 years since Berkin Elvan lost his life after being shot with a tear gas canister during Gezi resistance in 2013. Elvan has been commemorated by his loved ones at his grave in İstanbul.

Court merges Osman Kavala’s ‘espionage’ case with Gezi trial
Despite the strong defense of the attorneys and witness statements, the İstanbul 36th Heavy Penal Court has ruled that Osman Kavala shall remain behind bars. The file of his “espionage” case has been merged with that of “Gezi”.

International travel ban on defendants ahead of Gezi retrial
Preparing a preliminary proceedings report (a report issued ahead of a trial) for the retrial of Gezi defendants, the İstanbul 30th Heavy Penal Court has imposed an international travel ban on eight people. The first hearing will be held on May 21.
