Deniz Yucel

German FM Gabriel has said “Deniz Yücel is still in prison because in my opinion Turkey has taken him hostage.”

The indictment prepared against journalists Ömer Albayrak, Metin Yoksu, Tunca Öğreten, Derya Okatan, Mahir Kanat, E.S. and Deniz Yücel has been submitted to the court.

Arrested Die Welt correspondent Deniz Yücel noted that he did not want to be handed over to anywhere and that his only demand was to have a fair trial. Yücel also criticized President Erdoğan for calling him a “terrorist” where there hasn’t even been any bill of indictment yet.
