The ÇHD has stated that eight of their lawyers who are currently behind bars have begun a hunger strike.

Releasing a statement on Grup Yorum music band, two members of which are on a death fast, four organizations, including İstanbul Bar Association, have called on authorities to take action before the process results in death.
