Constitutional Court has issued the reasoned decision on Dündar and Gül case. Noting that the charges were only based on the published report, the court has ruled that the principle of lawfulness was not fulfilled.

President Erdoğan has commented on Constitutional Court’ ruling on Dündar and Gül as “If the court [of first instance] insists on its decision, there is no decision the Constitutional Court could take. They could apply to ECtHR, and the state pays the compensation”.
