Hasankeyf to be Cordoned Off and Closed to Traffic: It is a Cordon of Destruction
Batman Governor has announced that the ancient city of Hasankeyf, which is soon to be engulfed by Ilısu Dam, will be cordoned off and closed to traffic as of October 8. “It is a cordon of destruction,” Hasankeyf Coordination has responded.

Batman: 20 People in Police Custody

Rehabilitation for Child Victims of Anti-Terror Law
A group of volunteers in Batman initiated a rehabilitation program for children who were recently released from prison after the amendments of the Anti-Terror Law. Coordinator Ipekyuz said that the children and their families need at least 2 years of therapy.

BDP ARREST WAVE
A Further 24 Arrests in Operation on Peace and Democracy Party
Another 24 people have been taken into custody in the Turkish cities of Van and Batman. The total number of arrests throughout the last week in the scope of the operation against Peace and Democracy Party mounts to 47 people. The Peace Council of Turkey criticized the course of action.
