Nadira Kadirova had been working at ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) MP Şirin Ünal's home for a year when she allegedly committed suicide with his weapon on Monday (September 23).
In the first eight months of this year, suicides of 15 women were reported as "suspicious" in the press, according to the bianet Male Violence Monitoring Reports.
Leyla Niyazova, a close friend of Kadirova who spoke with her one day before her death, said that MP Ünal harassed her, daily Cumhuriyet reported.
"She called me at night on September 22. We talked for two hours. She cried a lot. She said, 'Leyla, I am too tired, I am sick of everything. When I asked what happened, she would say, 'I can' tell' and then cry," Niyazova said.
"When I insistently asked what happened, she said, 'Two weeks ago, I was lying in the room. My boss came in. He locked the door and lied behind me. He cuddled me.'
"I asked, 'Did he rape you?' She said, 'No, he didn't touch' but then cried. 'My dreams are broken. How can look my brother in the face now?'
"She made me promise not to tell anyone about this.
"She said, 'I found my boss' gun. I hid a bullet in my shoe.' She didn't even hold a knife in her life, I thought she was joking. I didn't even think she would do such a thing."
It was also revealed that Ankara Security Directorate, which announced on Wednesday that the incident is suicide, did not take a statement from Niyazova.
Kadirova's funeral was held in Uzbekistan yesterday. Ünal chauffeur closely followed the proceedings of her autopsy which was unusually completed within one day, the Cumhuriyet reported.
Muhammet Ali Kadirova, the brother of Kadirova told radio Sputnik, "There is not a situation that would make my sister suicide. She was going to begin a course for university exams in the following days."
