Renting, Purchase and Sale with Foreign Currency Ends

Purchase and sale and renting in chattels and real estates with foreign currency has been prohibited.

The decree signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been published on the Official Gazette. According to this, the costs set on foreign currency in purchase and renting contracts in chattels and real estates will be converted to Turkish Lira within 30 days.

As per the decree, engagement of people settled in Turkey will not be decided in foreign currency or indexed on foreign currency.

These clauses will be enforced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finace. (EKN/TK)
