Military Vehicle Kills 1 Woman, Police Attack People in Diyarbakır

A woman died by an armored vehicle crashing her in Turkey’s southeastern Yenişehir district of Diyarbakır.

Police attacked with pepper gas and pressured water on people gathering to protest the soldiers.

İMC citing Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reported that the incident took place on Gevran street in Ofis neighborhood of Yenişehir district.

According to report of Veysi Polat from T24, the mass gathering at the scene protested the vehicle in subject and threw rock at it.

Riot squad teams coming to the scene upon this dispersed the crowd by using gas bombs and pressured water.

While the group regathered since the ambulance arrived at the scene late, the artisans around put up the shutter. (EKN/TK)
