An Ankara civil court of first instance has accepted part of the suit of retired ambassador Sükrü Elekdag and has decreed that newspaper Agos and historian Taner Akcam must pay him 10,000 YTL compensation. Agos lawyers have announced an appeal.

Prosecution released the CCTV footage of a young man running away from the crime scene and his own father identified Ogun Samast as Turkish-Armenian writer Dinks assassin. Samast has been taken under custody while trying to reach his hometown Trabzon.
