The Istanbul Public Chief Prosecution decided for lack of jurisdiction regarding the so-called "Coup Diaries" investigation about former forces commanders Örnek, Yalman and Fırtına. The Coup Diaries were initally brought to the agenda by the Nokta magazine.

Erdal Güler, owner and chief editor of the Revolutionary Democracy newspaper, was released from the Kandıra Prison. The Istanbul 10th High Criminal Court decreed for a stay of execution. Güler was in jail since December 2007, his release was not expected before 2014.

The Turkish Association of Psychiatrics and the Society for Sexual Education, Treatment and Research called on professional organizations, legal and governmental authorities to take action against programs that connive at violence and rape or praise and encourage violent actions.
