Educators Gülmen and Özakça, who have been on hunger strike for 76 days, were detained yesterday and that taken to Ankara Courthouse to give statement to the prosecutor’s office.

Film-maker and director Ken Loach, film producer Rebecca O’Brien and PEN International have delivered messages in support of Gülmen and Özakça who are in detention on the 76th day of their hunger strike.

Nine people who were detained during staging a protest in support of Gülmen and Özakça in Kadıköy have been released.

All arrested suspects have been released in the trial of the occupational homicide killing 16 miners in a copper mine in Şirvan district of Siirt province.
