Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Representative on Media Harlem Désir has denounced the access block on 136 websites and social media accounts: “It represents a significant restriction on freedom of expression in Turkey.”

International organizations Reporters Without Borders (RSF), European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), Amnesty International Turkey and International Press Institute (IPI) have denounced the access block imposed on bianet.

Men killed at least 24 women in July. Raping at least 10 women, men also forced 59 women to sex work, sexually abused at least 19 children and harassed 34 women.

Journalism organizations have criticized the court ruling that imposes an access block on bianet.org and 135 other URLs.
