Addressing a letter to political parties in Turkey, the Women’s Coalition has stressed that women worked for all legal regulations, conventions and mechanisms related to gender equality and underlined that “a new Constitution is a must.”

Citizens of Ukraine have protested Russia's invasion of their country in Turkey's capital. Ukraine's ambassador to Turkey gave a speech at the demonstration.

Holding their first meeting on January 18, seven political parties met again in Ankara. Making a statement after the meeting, the parties have expressed their support for peace against war, for labor against exploitation and for life against plunder of nature.

Main opposition CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu said, “We need to heal our wounds because these wounds are still open. Facing and being able to reconcile mean being able to proceed on our path. I have a promise: I will reconcile this country.”

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Sancar spoke at the 6th Ordinary Congress of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP): “If the existence, freedom and political will of the Kurdish people are under threat, a national unity in the face of this is inevitable”.

Alevi organizations protested compulsory religious education at schools by holding protest demonstrations in İstanbul, Adana, Adıyaman, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Dersim, Eskişehir, İzmir, Kırklareli, Kayseri, Muğla and Samsun.

The Ministry of Health has announced that over 394 thousand tests were conducted, 49,792 people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 206 people died of the disease in Turkey in the last 24 hours.

According to the February 2022 data of the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (Türk-İş), the starvation line of a family of four is 4,522 Turkish Lira (TRY), which is 300 TRY more than the minimum wage in Turkey.
