“'Meticulous Attention' of Mr. Minister”
General Secretary of Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) Bakkalcı said that there are 520 patient prisoners in the prisons. He defined the manner of Minister of Justice Engin as “unserious” as Engin stated that “the patient prisoners are given medical treatment 'meticulously' ”. Bakkalcı also expressed that such an approach deepened the pain.

Turkey is to pay 11500 euro to Ali Güneş for violating Article 3 of the convention on human rights. Güneş was sprayed with pepper gas in close range and forcefully taken under custody in 2004.

RedHack Supported KESK Protest - Quarrel at Parliament
RedHack hacked the websites of dozens of police directorates all over the country in support of the KESK protest against the education draft law. Demonstrators were constantly exposed to tear gas and water cannons during the two-day protest. The related debate at parliament had to be interrupted twice due to tensions between the MPs.

They attended the Newroz celebrations and criticized the excessive use of violence and tear gas by the police. Sentence for Ogün Samast Approved
The Court of Appeals approved the prison sentence of 22 years and 10 months handed down to Ogün Samast, murder of Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink. Samast was sentenced on charges of "premeditated murder" and "unlicensed possession of weapons".
