Deniz Poyraz murder case: Appeals court upholds sentence
The 1st Penal Chamber of the İzmir Regional Court of Justice has upheld the aggravated life sentence and the additional 9-year prison term for Onur Gencer, who was responsible for the killing of Deniz Poyraz. Attorney Türkan Aslan Ağaç, who represents the case, expressed concerns that they are attempting to swiftly conclude the case with the punishment solely assigned to the perpetrator, Onur Gencer.
