One academic has been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison as per the Article no. 7/2 of the Anti-Terror Law. The prison sentence of the academic has been suspended.

Last year’s prize was shared by journalists Meşale Tolu and Deniz Yücel, who were also in prison in Turkey at the time.
