Inmates Tell ‘Why They Cannot Send Letters’
Judgeship of Execution in Van has overruled its own verdict that allows inmates to send and receive letters. The verdict has been issued to inmates one year later. A letter sent to bianet has not reached us though the court ruled that it is “not objectionable.”

Deadly Train 'Accident' in Ankara: 3 Contradictory Statements in 2 Hours
A high speed train crash has left nine dead in Ankara. State-run AA reported that the train crashed into a footbridge. Governorship said that it crashed into a commuter train. Transportation Ministry said it crashed into a guiding train, then into footbridge.

Nine academics have been sentenced to 1 year, 3 months in prison. While the announcement of six verdicts has been deferred, the pronouncement of the verdicts of Erzan, Çakmak and Aktan has not been deferred upon their rejection of suspension.
