Faruk Fatih Özer had left Türkiye in April, a day after his Thodex platform suspended all transactions. He is accused of defrauding about 2 billion dollars.

The interior minister said the attack was plotted by the PKK in Syria, and those who orchestrated the attack planned to kill the woman who planted the bomb as well.
