The police did not allow demonstrations and battered the protesters. In three cities, governors issued demonstration bans.

The president has once again signaled a ground offensive, following Sunday's airstrikes targeting dozens of locations in Syria and Iraq.

A mortar shell hit a school in Antep city in what was the third such attack following Türkiye's airstrikes in Syria and Iraq. A child and a teacher are among the killed while six others were injured, said the interior minister.

Two more suspects have been arrested in Türkiye and four others have been arrested in Bulgaria as the investigation continues.

Türkiye's warplanes hit dozens of targets in Iraq and Syria. While European politicians denounced the attack, Brett McGurk said the US "wants to make sure that the border with Türkiye is secure."

The attack came after Türkiye's large-scale airstrikes in Syria and Iraq.

The strikes were carried out in retaliation to last week's bomb attack in İstanbul, the government said. Dozens of people, including Syrian government soldiers and SDF fighters, as well as a journalist, were reportedly killed in the raids.

Ahlam Albashir said she didn't know there was a bomb in the bag that she left under a bench on İstiklal Avenue, contrary to her statement to the police, where she had said it was her accomplice who carried the bag during their travel from Syria to Türkiye in July.

Faruk Fatih Özer had left Türkiye in April, a day after his Thodex platform suspended all transactions. He is accused of defrauding about 2 billion dollars.

In her statement to the police, Ahlam Albashir explained how they came to Türkiye and how she carried out the attack.

Expelled police officer E. O. was found guilty of illegally keeping personal data such as religious beliefs, and sexual life. There were 4,395 communication data belonging to 3,248 people whose telephones were tapped between 2008-2013 in these records.

Prosecutor said, "judgment will be appealed for correction since it includes aspects that are against the law or without due process of law." 18 lawyers were sentenced to a total of 156 years and 3 years of imprisonment.

"Citizens know that this government failed to help them. But they were also skeptical about the CHP's ability to rule. Yet, lately, people have started to see their problems can be solved with a CHP administration," says Kaftancıoğlu, the de-facto head of the main opposition party's İstanbul organization.

"When I saw the event on TV, I recalled the near past. Without putting blame on anyone, without bringing anyone under suspicion, I just want to ask. Maybe the authorities will give satisfactory answers to these questions and we will feel comfortable."

The smugglers are believed to have tried to enable the assailant to cross into Bulgaria. The number of detentions has reached 50.

The Kurdish politician was released in late October, over a year after her diagnosis of dementia. The new indictment alleges that she "aided a terrorist" in 2014.

After fake news that she was the perpetrator of the Taksim bomb attack, Jiyan Tosun received many threatening phone calls. Her family members and another lawyer using a number registered under her name were also called. Tosun says only officials can access and leak such data.

Police prevented the parade in May, detaining dozens of students and an academic.

Adem Topkara and Elif Topkara had a daughter. Yusuf Meydan who lost his life together with his 9 year old daughter was an officer at the Ministry of Family and Social Services. Arzu Özsoy and her daughter Yağmur Uçar have also lost their lives.

The interior minister said the attack was plotted by the PKK in Syria, and those who orchestrated the attack planned to kill the woman who planted the bomb as well.
