S.A., key witness in Hasan Ferit Gedik case, reportedly identified the murder suspect, saying that he “definitely identified one of three individuals who fired at them”.

The funeral of Hasan Ferit Gedik - a 21 year old man who was shot by a group in Istanbul’s Gülsuyu neighborhood - will be taken to Gülsuyu for a commemoration ceremony after 3 days of waiting. A campaign was also launched for Gedik’s jailed father to attend the funeral.

Police authorities reportedly ignored the missing registration of Hasan Ferit Gedik’s shirt, a piece of clothing that marked a significant evidence within the death case investigation. “They are trying to make us forget a significant evidence,” Advocate Şimşek said.

A court arrested 3 individuals including Genç Fenerbahçeliler leader Sefa Kalya who have been rounded up on September 27 within an operation targeting soccer fans across Turkey. 23 were released within judiciary control measures.
