An investigation has been launched against İstanbul MP of the Felicity Party Cihangir İslam on charges of “degrading the state of the Republic of Turkey, the organs and institutions of the state” and “praising the crime and the criminal”.

"A case involving the world public opinion can not be veiled. We are expecting the close cooperation of the Saudi officials for the thorough clarification of the case." Minister Gül reacted on the inconclusive talks with the Saudi Prosecutor on the Khashoggi murder case.
