İstanbul Mayor İmamoğlu has talked about the removal of their banners against the Canal İstanbul project by the Governor's Office: “If they will take action, my advice is this: Don’t bother with banners, my social media posts have been there for months.”

HDP Group Deputy Chair Danış-Beştaş said, “Erdoğan said he would announce good news tomorrow. The best news would be your leaving. People are poor and unemployed, prisons are full, pandemic measures are not taken, everyone is faced with death.”

As the time given to the İstanbul Mesopotamia Cultural Center to leave its building of 18 years expired today, the building was blockaded by the police. The artists of the center have made a statement, stressing that they will keep doing their art.
