HDP MP Güzel has addressed a Parliamentary question to Health Minister Koca, asking him about the investigations against 800 family physicians who halted work in protest and the physicians in İzmir who face pay cuts before the investigations are completed.

Demanding their reinstatement, three dismissed municipal workers started walking to Ankara. Two of them were detained while the other says he will keep walking.

Seven workers were killed and 127 were injured by the explosion in a fireworks factory last year in Sakarya, northwestern Turkey. An expert report has found the owners of the factory to be the "primary negligent party."

The exchange rate of the US dollar increased from 8.43 to 8.65 Turkish Lira last week. Ahead of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting, where it will be decided whether the policy rate will remain unchanged or not, the dollar saw 8.72 earlier today.

While the fire brigade teams took the wounded agricultural workers out of the minibus following the accident in Maraş province in southern Turkey, the paramedics detected that S.A. died at the scene of the incident.

The TMMOB Chamber of Mechanical Engineers has released its 73rd bulletin on the problems of the industry in Turkey. The bulletin has dealt with the “effect of economic growth on labor force, distribution of income and employment.”

In the Economic Freedom Index, which covers 165 countries of the world, Turkey has ranked 114th with 6.54 points. In 2018, the ranking of the country was 100 with 6.69 points.

The rope broke during the dismantling of a passenger ship in İzmir’s Aliağa; workers İlyas Bıdık and Veli Bal have lost their lives. Four workers have reportedly died in the shipbreaking facility in the last two months.

While Turkey’s state agency TurkStat has announced that the unemployment rate was 12 percent in July 2021, the Confederation of Progressive Trade Unions of Turkey has indicated that it increased to 23.6 percent after the layoff ban was lifted.

According to a report by the Health and Safety Labor Watch, at least 1,209 workers lost their lives due to COVID-19 as of the 18th month of the outbreak. While 106 of the deceased workers were women, 1,103 were men.

Defendants were not present in the trial over an incident where Ş.C.K. (16) was battered by his bosses. FİSA Children’s Rights Center’s involvement in the case was rejected; the new prosecutor gave a new opinion as to the accusations.
