The Minimum Wage Determining Commission has met for the last time to determine the minimum wages for 2019. The net minimum wage has been announced as 2,020 Turkish Liras (~380 USD).

In the first ten months of 2018, 1,640 workers have lost their lives in occupational homicides across Turkey. At least 177 workers, two of whom were children and ten of whom were women, lost their lives in October.
