Men killed at least 20 women, two children in October. 20 percent of the women were killed because they rejected proposals of reconciliation. 75 percent of murders were committed in houses. Two of the deceased women were from Uzbekistan and Syria.

The 2nd Penal Chamber of İstanbul Regional Court of Justice has upheld the verdict of aggravated life imprisonment issued for six people including journalists Ahmet Altan, Mehmet Altan and Nazlı Ilıcak. An appeal will be made to the Supreme Court of Appeals.
