Men killed 19 women in July. In first seven months of 2015, men killed 160 women, raped 70 women and forced 122 women to prostitution.

According to bianet’s tally, men killed 21 women, raped 9 women and teenager girls and injured 25 women in June. 12% of women who exposed to violence were seriously injured with lethal weapons due to divorce claim or legal separation.

Activists Attacked by Unknown Perpetrators after Pride Parade
After attending Pride Parade, activists were attacked by unidentified persons in Tophane district of Istanbul. Four protesters were taken to hospital while an activist’s nose was broken. Witnesses said attackers shouted “You can’t escape, traitors!”

According to bianet’s tally, men killed at least 27 women in March. 18.5 percent of the women were killed because they wanted to split up and 18.5 percent had lodged a complaint against their killer before they were murdered. One man murdered his six-month-old baby because she was a girl.
