TRT National Television Newscaster: They Forced Me to Read Declaration

Tijen Karakaş, newscaster of national television of Turkey TRT, who has read the coup declaration on national television has again gone live on CNN Türk and noted: “Our hands have been tied in the back. We have been threatened by guns and forced me to read a declaration”.

Karakaş going live with those who came for support to TRT building has noted:

“We have been kept in by an armed group who have stated that they have organized this action on behalf of the Turkish Armed Forces, they would not harm us and they were undertaking this action for the sake of the nation. Our hands have been tied behind. They have threatened me with a gun and forced me to read a declaration.

“[...] Now we are together in the studio with together with our nation who loves us. Thankfully nothing has happened to us". (ÇT/DG)
