Presidential Spokesperson: Self-Governance, Canton... Only Phantasies

Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın has come to the forefront through his remarks concerning self-governance in the press conference held in the Presidential Palace Complex.

Kalın has stated; “We would like to note that phantasies such as separation, division, self-governance, canton administration...etc. find no correspondence in societies functioning in democratic maturity”.

Some headlines from Kalın’s statement are as follows:

“We would like to note that phantasies such as separation, division, self-governance, canton administration...etc. mentioned now and again and cited explicitly yesterday, find no correspondence in societies functioning in democratic maturity.

“It is certain how those who try to get a political income over other’s deaths are going to end up. And it shall not be any different in the future. Within this scope, it is obvious that those who try to acquit the terrorist organization of their crimes which are no secret, to glorify and prettify terror and violence only fool around and waste their time.”

“We respect the national will”

“The core and essence of Turkey’s terrain is certain and absolute. Today, those who mention these phantasies, giving the political credit provided by the people on November 1 [November 1, 2015 Snap Elections] as a pledge to the mountains in this manner and assuming to be doing politics under the tutelage of the terrorist organization, actually do the worst harm to those people who have voted for them.

“Of course we respect the national will and also the ones who have voted for that party but I assume, also these citizens of ours can see the efforts to back up the terrorist organization in these recent statements clearly. These plans will not work out, nobody is strong enough to divide the Republic of Turkey. (BK/DG)
