In Silopi district of Şırnak province in southeastern Turkey, a land mine exploded and killed four police officers in an armored police vehicle.
An investigation has been launched to capture the perpetrators.
On August 7, 2015, a conflict also broke out and a police officer, Muhammet Onur Demir, and three people; Hamdin Ulaş (58), Mehmet Hıdır Tanboğa (17) and Kamuran Bilin who was estimated 25 or 30 years old died.
Governorship of Şırnak province stated four policemen died and a police officer got injured during an explosion of a land mine planted on the road at 9 a.m.
In Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak province, a Sikorsky helicopter was fired with an antiaircraft weapon and rocket launcher; a private died and seven privates got injured.
According to the statement of General Staff, the private who lost his life, Doğan Acar, was an ex-serviceman. It was stated that seven privates have been treated.
After the attack, regions where the PKK members existed were bombed by Cobra helicopters. (EKN/NV/BD)
