Journalists Union of Turkey Reacts Against Closures of Media Organs

Journalists Union of Turkey (TGS) has reacted against closures of 45 newspapers, 17 TV channels, 23 radio channels, three news agencies, 15 magazines and 19 publishing houses and said; “Closing newspapers, TV channels is a coup practice.”

TGS stating that “A lot of journalists are being left unemployed under the name of fight with Fethullahist Terror Organisation (FETÖ)”, remarked that leaving the thousands of journalists unemployed by State of Emergency Decree is mistreating to tens of thousands people.

TGS has stated that they are standing by the workers of Kocaeli Manşet daily who are the members of the TGS. (ÇT/UA)
