Guide Against Homophobia for Teachers

The applied program carried through by Dr. Esra Ummak to diminish homophobia in the area of education has been published into a book titled “Empirically Tested Group Guidance for Dealing with Homophobia”.

Being published by Anı Publishing, the book aims for teachers/instructors to be more informed of homophobia and intends to decrease the homophobia level in the teachers/teacher candidates.

Ummak states that decreasing teachers’ negative attitudes against homosexuals, enhancing affirmative and unconditional communication would be beneficial for both LGBTI and heterosexual students.

The whole copyright income will be donated to Trans Solidarity Network and Education Union. (ÇT/TK)
