Erdoğan: Don’t Make Me Deal with Kirby

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has made statements to journalists following the Friday prayer he performed in Ataşehir district of İstanbul. “We have no doubt, the perpetrator is YPG (People’s Protection Units)”, said Erdoğan as to the bomb attack in Ankara.
Erdoğan noted that he will meet with US President, Barack Obama at 5 p.m. local time today.
“Perpetrator of the attack is YPG”
President Erdoğan spoke regarding the attack in Ankara as follows:
“At the moment there are two people investigated thoroughly among the 14 people detained. The number rose to three by yesterday. They are the essential ones.
“So who is this human bomb? We have no doubt about that. It is YPG…Indeed it is armed force of the PYD (Democratic Union Party). Although they haven’t claimed responsibility for the attack, it is YPG and PYD. They are in the status of perpetrators of this incident. This is the point we’ve reached subsequent to our works conducted with security forces, intelligence”.
“The West resists to not understand”
Erdoğan has criticized countries which support the YPG.
“Here is the reason why we are sad at the point reached: The West’s resistance to not understand the matter makes us sad. It might be nice that they side with us in this matter but it is not something conclusive. If you are with us, then why don’t you still declare PYD and YPG as terror organizations while PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) has been declared as terror organization? What more do you want from us? We deliver information, documents, whatever you ask us”.
Erdoğan to meet Obama
Erdoğan said the following as to US State Department Spokesperson, John Kirby:
“It is wrong to make me deal with Kirby. I have an appointment with Obama at 5 p.m. These will be evaluated in that meeting.
“[US Secretary of State John] Kerry has called Minister of Foreign Affairs, [Mevlüt] Çavuşoğlu and shared the wrongdoings of the YPG, which means they started to understand some things I suppose”.
“Russia, Assad, PYD, YPG act together”
“I’d said in a meeting months ago that three planeloads of arms came. You know half of it went to DAİŞ (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) and the other half to YPG. All those arms exploded for the civilians there, claiming their lives.
“Now Russia has associated itself with the same thing. Russia acts together with murderer [Bashar al] Assad regime, PYD, and YPG. It creates space for them.
“Our shelling in our south are against this and will continue. We will not stay audience to such illegitimate formation on our borders”.
He held HDP accountable
Erdoğan asked of stance of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) which didn’t sign the statement in parliament because their proposal was rejected as to the Ankara attack spoke as follows:
“There are four parties in the parliament. When three parties stand against these traitors, they form a solidarity against this betrayal in the Ankara incident and release a joint declaration by signing it.
“However, the party that runs as terror organization’s representative in the parliament doesn’t sign it. This is also being caught red-handed. It is to say ‘We are representatives of the mountain, Qandil’”. (AS/TK)
