Arabic Be Taught Next Year to Pupils

2016-2017 school year will include teaching primary school students Arabic.

Ministry of National Education (MEB) prepared an instruction schedule for Arabic. If the primary school students request, they will be taught Arabic.

Next year

This practice for the Arabic language will be implemented as an optional course in 2016-2017 school year.

Writing Arabic at the age of 10 

When primary schools are 8 and 9 years old, they will be taught Arabic word attack skills while they will learn to write in Arabic when they are 10 and then finally will comprehend basic Arabic at the age of 11.

Decision of Council of Ministers

According to current Primary Education Institutions Weekly Course Schedule, foreign language learning starts at the age of 8 and the Council of Ministers decides which foreign languages will be taught to the students. (YY/BD)
