20 Occupational, Right Organizations Demand Acquittal of Arrested Students

20 organization including academics, students and legists have called judicial authorities for the acquittal of arrested students.

A group from the signatory organizations called out “Don’t Touch My Student” in front of Anadolu Courthouse in İstanbul’s Kartal district ahead of the hearing of arrested Marmara University student Taha Temel.

Stating that there are as many as 400 arrested students, the declaration stressed the importance of presumption of innocence and the students’ right to education.
