28-year old Sabahat Kılıç and his 67-year-old father, Necim Kılıç killed in the fire opened on the house in Turkey’s southeastern Dargeçit district of Mardin province where curfew has been lasting for 13 days.
Three other family members injured in the attack.
While state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), Doğan News Agency (DHA), and Cihan News Agency (CHA) have held Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) accountable for the attack, Dicle News Agency (DİHA) has claimed it was security forces that fired on the family.
According to the report of DİHA, Necim Kılıç was killed as he was going to the toilet in his garden by special forces officers.
The other family members were also fired on when they went out of the door upon gunshots. Sabahat Kılıç killed, and three others wounded in this attack.
AA, DHA, and CHA stated that the family members attacked were the relatives of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Dargeçit District President’s relatives.
According to agencies’ allegation, the attack was launched by PKK.
