Forest fires that lasted for four days in the Marmaris district have been brought under control early on June 25. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci has announced that approximately 4,500 hectares of land were burned.

According to a Presidential decision published in the Official Gazette, Bekir Pakdemirli’s request for “being excused from duty” has been accepted and Vahit Kirişci has been appointed as the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
