Two people have been detained in relation with the armed attack on the US Embassy in Ankara. The Governorship of Ankara has stated, “The offenders have pleaded guilty.”

An armed attack has been carried out against the US Embassy in Ankara by unidentified person or persons. There have been no casualties in the attack. The authorities in Turkey have defined the attack as "provocation."

The US closed its Embassy in Ankara for security reasons. Ankara Governorship announced that security precautions have been enhanced.

US and Iranian Embassies and Consulates will be closed today.
