The Deep Poverty Network, Heinrich Böll Foundation and Open Space Association have prepared a report titled “Research on Abject Poverty and Access to Rights During Pandemic,” documenting the aggravating poverty in İstanbul amid COVID-19 outbreak.

The Urban Poverty Study conducted by the Metropolitan Municipality of İstanbul shows that 28.1 percent of İstanbul's households have more than four people. While 47.3 percent do not have regular income, the rate of child labor is 7 percent.
